2010 Capital Criterium Follow-Up
By spokesman | July 11, 2010
This was a big day for sports (or more precisely sports that are popular in Europe). The final game of the World Cup (for soccer) was played and the first mountain stage of the Tour De France took place today. Instead of those worldwide events, I chose to watch a live local sporting event - the Capital Criterium in Washington D.C. The race drew a large crowd and featured several races including ones for amateurs, kids, celebrity and professionals. There was lots of talk about getting the Giro D’Italia to start in Washington in 2012. The Men’s pro race was the highlight of the day and I will be posting a video of my pictures. In the mean time here are a few picture from today.
