The $1 Pregnancy Test

This post has nothing to do with cycling except that I made this discovery while cycling. This past weekend during a ride in extremely hot weather, we needed to stop for water. We passed a remote shopping center and the only store that was open was a dollar store. Many of these stores have recently added refrigerators so that they can carry some basic groceries (juice, eggs, milk etc) in order to increase traffic. We thought it was our best option to get some cold water. The refrigerators were located in the back of the store and while walking down an aisle I noticed a large section of home pregnancy tests. I am not in the market for such a test. However, I am amazed at the variety of items that one can purchase for only $1. Yet for certain items of importance, I would gladly pay more than $1 to ensure quality.
